The Start of the 2020 Legislative Session
The Legislative session has begun.
On Sunday February 11th at the annual legislative reception hosted by the Associated General Contractors (formally the Wyoming Contractors Association) I was honored to receive this year’s honorary membership for the work I have been involved in over the interim work to review and update the state’s contracting procurement statutes. The results from that effort are three legislative bills, HB50, HB51, and HB52 that have passed through the House this week and are ready to be introduced in the Senate. These three bills are Joint Appropriations Committee Bills, and I was assigned to by the committee chairmen at the end of last year’s legislative session to review the statutes with industry, professionals, counties, towns, the University, and colleges and draft possible legislation that could be considered.
I was very honored to receive the award.
